SAGINAW, Mich. - Terry Trafford scored the game winner with just over four minutes to play in the third period as the Saginaw Spirit beat the visiting Kingston Frontenacs 2-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Both Trafford and Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist for Saginaw (11-13-3).
Warren Steele scored the lone goal for Kingston (13-11-0).
Nikita Serebryakov stopped all but one of the 33 shots he faced for his first career OHL win as Colin Furlong made 21 saves in a losing cause.
The Spirit failed to score on their only power-play opportunity while the Frontenacs went 1-for-4.
