Halak signs to play with German club Lausitzer

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak has signed with Lausitzer of the German Bundesliga for the duration of the work stoppage.

Halak, 27, went 26-12-7 last season, with a 1.97 goals-against average, .926 save percentage and six shutouts. He and teammate Brian Elliott shared the William M. Jennings Trophy as the goalies who allowed the fewest goals in the League.

A 2003 ninth-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, Halak is 109-67-21 in 204 regular-season games with the Canadiens and Blues, with a 2.43 GAA and .918 save percentage. In 23 Stanley Cup Playoff games, he's 10-11 with a 2.42 GAA and .923 save percentage.
