OSHAWA, Ont. - Steven Beyers and Anthony Camara had two goals and an assist each as the Barrie Colts downed the host Oshawa Generals 5-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Andreas Athanasiou also scored for the Colts (14-4-1), who led 2-0 early and never relinquished the lead on way to their league-leading 14th win of the season.
Both of Camara's goals were on the power play, the first coming 11:30 into the second period to make the score 4-2 and drive Daniel Altshuller out of the Oshawa goal in favour of rookie Ken Appleby.
Mark Scheifele, Zach Hall and Brendan Bell each had a pair of assists for Barrie.
Boone Jenner scored twice for the Generals (11-7-2), while linemate Michael Dal Colle had the other. Tyler Biggs assisted on all three.
Mathias Niederberger made 36 saves, including on all 20 shots he faced in the third, for his 13th win of the season.
Altshuller allowed four goals on 22 shots, while Appleby faced only six shots over the final 28:30 and allowed one goal.
The Colts were 2-for-5 on the power play, and the Generals were 1-for-5.
