Kozun's power-play goals lead Manchester Monarchs past St. John's IceCaps 4-1

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Brandon Kozun had back-to-back goals and the eventual winner as the Manchester Monarchs downed the St. John's IceCaps 4-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League play.

Tyler Toffoli and Slava Voynov also scored for Manchester (6-2-1), while Peter Mannino made 26 saves for the win. It was Mannino's first start of the season.

Alex Burmistrov was the lone scorer for St. John's (5-7-0). Goaltender Mark Dekanich stopped 28 of 31 shots.

Both of Kozun's goals came on the power play as the Monarchs went 3-for-9 on the power play. The IceCaps struggled with the extra man, going 0-for-6.
