Michael St. Croix has winner in Oil Kings 2-1 victory over Broncos

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Michael St. Croix scored his team-leading 11th goal with 11:43 left in regulation to spark the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings to a 2-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Rookie Luke Bertolucci scored his first career WHL goal to tie the game 1-1 for Edmonton (10-4-3) in the second. Laurent Brossoit turned aside 27 of 28 shots.

Levi Bews had given Swift Current (7-8-5) a 1-0 first period lead when he scored his eighth of the year with one minute left in the opening period. Broncos import netminder Eetu Laurikainen gave up a pair of goals on 20 shots.

The Oil Kings went 0-for-2 on the power play, while Swift Current was 0-for-8.
