In a rematch of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, the Canucks got some revenge as Cody Hodgson had a goal and an assist and Vancouver went 4-for-11 on the power play to beat Boston at TD Garden. Massachusetts native Cody Schneider picked up the win in his first NHL start in his home state.

This was a night Sam Gagner won't ever forget, as the Oilers center remarkably racked up eight points (four goals, four assists) to lead his club past the Blackhawks at Rexall Place. The Red Wings extended their win streak at Joe Louis Arena to 22 games as Pavel Datsyuk broke a 1-1 tie with just 5.8 seconds remaining in regulation to beat the Predators. With the victory, Detroit matched the streak of 22 straight home wins by the Boston Bruins of 1929-30 and '30-31.

Mike Smith made history as he stopped all 54 shots he faced as the Coyotes blanked the Blue Jackets at Jobing.com Arena. It was the third straight shutout for Smith, who broke Craig Anderson's NHL record (53) for most saves in a shutout in the regular season.

9 -- April 3, 2012: Buffalo 6, Toronto 5 (OT) (midnight ET) -- Dan Rosen

Needing a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive, the Sabres rallied from an early 3-0 deficit and saved their season when Derek Roy scored on the power play 3:29 into overtime at First Niagara Center. The win allowed Buffalo to pull even with Washington for eighth place in the Eastern Conference at 88 points apiece.
