Nicklas Grossmann has fit in well with the Philadelphia Flyers since arriving in February, and they have rewarded him with a four-year extension worth $14 million.
The team announced the signing Friday, and a club official confirmed the terms.
Grossmann joined the Flyers before the trade deadline from the Dallas Stars for second- and third-round picks, and has thrived while helping the team replaced injured captain Chris Pronger. He has six assists in 22 games and has added an a physical presence to the blue line corps the Flyers were missing without Pronger, who is out for the season with a concussion.
