• Gauthier led the Foreurs and tied for sixth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with 41 goals in 2015-16. He also suited up for Team Canada for the first time, serving as the youngest player on their roster at the 2016 World Junior Championship.

• As a 16-year-old rookie in 2013-14, Gauthier collected 9-21—30 during the regular season and added seven assists in the playoffs to help Val-d’Or capture its third President’s Cup as QMJHL champions.

• At the 2013 Canadian national Midget AAA championship, Gauthier led all skaters with 12 points in six games (5-7—12) to help Laval-Montreal Rousseau Royal capture a bronze medal.

• His uncle, Denis Gauthier, was selected 20th overall by Calgary in the 1995 NHL Draft and played 554 career games for the Flames, Coyotes, Flyers and Kings from 1997-09.

• At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Gauthier models his game after power forwards Rick Nash of the Rangers and Ryan Getzlaf of the Ducks.
