• In 2014-15, Montembeault posted three shutouts and ranked second in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a 2.59 goals-against average to help the Armada finish with the fewest goals against (185) and claim top spot in the League’s West Division.

• Montembeault won 33 of 52 appearances in 2014-15 to establish a franchise record for wins in one season by a goaltender. That includes a franchise-record nine-game personal winning streak from Oct. 12 to Nov. 14, 2014.

• He owns a 2.55 goals-against average through 66 career regular season QMJHL games; that ranks second in League history behind Ondrej Pavelec (2.52 GAA) among goaltenders who played a minimum of 3,000 career minutes.

• Montembeault earned the top score among goaltenders in specialized reaction, agility and movement testing at the 2015 CHL Top Prospects Game. He also stopped 15 of 17 shots he faced as Team Cherry’s starter.

• A product of the Trois-Rivieres Estacades organization, Montembeault grew up idolizing New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist.

• He lists Armada goaltending coach Max Vaillancourt as the person who has had the most influence on his career.
