• In 2014-15, Roy led all Phoenix defensemen with 43 points (5-38—43) despite playing in only 46 games. He also collected five points (1-4—5) in Sherbrooke’s six-game series with Charlottetown in the opening round of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.

• In his first season in the QMJHL, Roy paced all rookie defensemen in goals (14), assists (30) and points (44) to earn the Raymond Lagace Trophy as the League’s Defensive Rookie of the Year and a spot on the All-Rookie Team.

• He won a gold medal with Canada at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial, where he served as an assistant captain and contributed three assists. Roy also wore the “C” for Quebec at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, tying for the tournament scoring lead among defensemen with five points (1-4—5) in six games.

• At the 2015 Under-18 World Junior Championship, Roy registered four points (3-1—4) in seven games – highlighted by a hat trick in an 11-6 win over Latvia – en route to a bronze medal. He was selected by his coaches as one of Canada’s top three players.

• He tallied 54 points (12-42—54) in 42 games with College Antoine-Girouard Gaulois in Quebec’s Midget AAA league before being selected fourth overall by Sherbrooke in the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft.
