• In 2014-15, Fischer ranked fifth on the U.S. Under-18 team with 64 points (31-33—64) in 66 games. His 31 goals placed third on the club behind 2016 NHL Draft prospects Auston Matthews and Matthew Tkachuk.

• Fischer collected six points (2-4—6) in six games with the U.S. at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, including a goal in the club’s 4-0 win over Team Pacific in the gold medal game. He also won gold with his country at the 2015 Under-18 World Junior Championship, where he posted eight points in seven games (1-7—8).

• During his first season with the United States National Team Development Program in Ann Arbor, Mich., Fischer lived with Tkachuk – the son of long-time St. Louis Blues forward Keith Tkachuk. Each player’s family lived with the pair on a rotating monthly basis.

• Fischer set a United States Hockey League record for fastest goal to start a game when he scored six seconds into the first period on March 5, 2015 vs. Omaha. The goal was shorthanded, following a penalty assessed to Team USA during pregame warmup.

• He began his career with the Cyclones Amateur Hockey Association before spending six seasons with the Chicago Mission hockey club.

• Fischer has committed to the University of Notre Dame for the fall of 2015. His father, Mike, and brother, Michael, both played college hockey in the U.S.
