• In 2010-11, Lucia produced a career-high 30 goals, 54 points and a plus-34 rating in 27 games with Wayzata, including five goals and seven points in three sectional playoff games. Wayzata lost in double-overtime to Eden Prairie in the Section 6AA championship. He had 15 goals, 25 assists, 40 points and a plus-25 rating in 25 games in 2009-10.

• His father, Don, is the head coach for the University of Minnesota. He has won two NCAA National Championship titles (2002, 2003) and was the captain of Notre Dame from 1977-81.

• His brother, Tony, was drafted 193rd overall in 2005 to the San Jose Sharks and played for his father at the University of Minnesota where he was a forward and captain from 2002-2006. His sister, Jessica, is a two time All-American volleyball player from Concordia University (2003-2007).

• He got his start in hockey skating at the Colorado College ice rink where his dad was coaching and his first hockey team was the Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Tigers.

• Lucia’s hidden talent is playing the trumpet and his favorite piece of sports memorabilia is his Bantam State Championship banner.
