 • Kase spent the majority of the 2013-14 season playing for Chomutov in the top men’s league in the Czech Republic where he registered seven points (4-3—7) in 37 games. He also skated for Chomutov’s junior team for seven games, picking up 15 points (5-10—15).

• At the 2014 World Junior Championship, Kase tallied three points (1-2—3) in five games with the Czech Republic, including the game-winning goal versus Slovakia that clinched a spot in the quarterfinals.

• Kase skated for the Czech Republic at the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial, recording five points (3-2—5) in five games. He also represented his country at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and was named one of his country’s top three players at the 2013 Under-18 World Championship after registering three points (1-2—3) in five games.

• His brother, David (draft eligible in 2015), was an assistant captain for the Czech Republic at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and won a silver medal for his country at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship. His father, Robert, also played professional hockey in the Czech Republic before spending five seasons in Germany. He is now an assistant coach with Chomutov after only a few months as head coach of the club’s under-16 team.
