• Ritchie led Peterborough during the 2013-14 regular-season in goals (39) and points (74), and added 5-5—10 in 11 postseason games helping the Petes to a first-round upset win over the Kingston Frontenacs in seven games.
• He became the third player in Petes’ franchise history to score five goals in a game during his career-high six-point performance on Feb. 7, 2014. He became the first Ontario Hockey League player to score five times in a game since his brother, Brett (selected 44th overall by Dallas in 2011), tallied five times for the Niagara IceDogs on Nov. 4, 2012.
• He recalls winning gold with Team Canada at both the 2012 Ivan Hlinka Memorial and 2013 Under-18 World Championship as his most memorable hockey moments. He also won bronze with Team Ontario at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
• His father, Paul, played in the OHL while his mother, Tammy, was a three-sport athlete while attending Brock University (volleyball, softball and basketball).
• Ritchie has won three Canadian box lacrosse championships with Team Ontario and an Ontario title as a bantam call-up on Brett’s midget lacrosse team.
• The Ritchie brothers use a healthy sibling rivalry to keep their competitive streak sharp in the off-season, often competing head-to-head in golf and tennis.
