• In his first season at Shattuck St. Mary’s, Haula recorded 24 goals for 79 points (24-55-79). He has committed to the University of Minnesota.
• Prior to attending Shattuck, he had 22 points in 40 games for the second place team, Pori Assat, in the Finnish Under-20 league in 2007-08.
• He has represented Team Finland twice at the Under-18 World Championships. In 2009, he had three goals (3-1-4), helping Finland to a bronze medal, defeating Canada, and finished sixth in 2008 where he recorded three assists (1-3-4).
• His dad, Tomi Haula, coached American football (Turku Trojans) in Finland and he learned to speak English from the U.S. players that lived with his family growing up. He attended a Swedish school in Finland for ten years and also speaks Swedish.
