• In the 2010 Ontario Hockey League playoffs he finished third on the team with 16 points (8-8--16) in 17 games, helping Barrie reach the final of the OHL Championships. In his first season in the OHL he produced over a point-per-game and his 43 assists ranked fourth on the Colts in 2009-10.

• Burmistrov represented Russia at the 2010 World Junior Championships recording four points (3-1--4) in six games. He also competed for Russia at the 2009 Under-18 World Championships, tallying 11 points (4-7--11) in seven games winning a silver medal.

• Prior to playing in the OHL, Burmistrov competed for Ak Bars Kazan in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League. Growing up, he played his entire hockey career in Russia for Ak Bars.

• He wears the jersey number eight as a tribute to former Russian NHL star Igor Larionov and he patterns his game after his favorite player, Pavel Datsyuk.
