• In his second season with the Victoria Grizzlies, Newhook finished as the British Columbia Hockey League’s leading scorer after posting 38-64—102 in 53 games en route to being awarded the Vern Dye Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player and Brett Hull Trophy as top scorer.

• In doing so, Newhook became the first Grizzlies player to top 100 points in a season since Tyler Bozak in 2006-07 (41-70—111 in 53 GP).

• In 2017-18, Newhook burst onto the scene in the BCHL notching 22-44—66 in 45 games to lead all rookies in assists and points. His strong rookie campaign saw him awarded the Bruce Allison Memorial Trophy as Rookie of the Year and named to the All-Rookie Team and a First Team All-Star.

• Internationally, Newhook represented Canada Black at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (1-3—4 in 5 GP) and ranked tied for sixth among all skaters at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship with 5-5—10 in seven games.

• Newhook, who has committed to Boston College for the 2019-20 season, models his style of play after Flames forward Sean Monahan.
