• Rees averaged nearly a point per game for the OHL’s Sarnia Sting in 2018-19 while only appearing in 37 contests (10-22—32). In doing so, he exceeded his totals from his rookie season despite nine fewer appearances (5-15—20 in 46 GP in 2017-18).

• Internationally, Rees was part of Canada’s gold medal-winning entry at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup (1-3—4 in 5 GP) and represented his country at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship where he finished tied for 12th in tournament scoring (2-6—8 in 7 GP).
