• Boqvist averaged almost a point per game as a defenseman with Brynas’ junior club in 2017-18 (14-10—24 in 25 GP). He led the junior league in goals by a blueliner.

• Boqvist scored the gold medal-winning goal for Team Sweden in the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and captured a bronze medal for his country at the 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

• His brother, Jesper Boqvist, is a forward who was drafted 36th overall by the New Jersey Devils in 2017.
