• Leschyshyn registered 17-23—40 during the 2016-17 season (47 GP) and finished tied for second on the Pats with two shorthanded goals. The Pats finished the year with a League-best 21 shorthanded goals, the most by any WHL team since the Saskatoon Blades (22) in 2010-11.

• Internationally, Leschyshyn (4-3—7 in 6 GP) won a gold medal with Canada White at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

• His father, Curtis, was a member of Colorado’s Stanley Cup-winning team in 1996 and skated in 1,033 career NHL games with the Nordiques, Avalanche, Capitals, Whalers, Hurricanes, Wild and Senators.

• A two-way forward who models his style of play after Sharks forward Joe Pavelski.
