• Kopacka enjoyed a breakout season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in 2015-16, collecting 20-23—43 in 67 regular-season games to help the club clinch the seventh seed in the Ontario Hockey League’s Western Conference. He added 2-2—4 in 12 postseason contests, including a pair of assists in the Greyhounds’ seven-game upset of the Sarnia Sting in the first round.

• He scored in five consecutive games from Jan. 15-31, 2016 (5-0—5). During that span, he also recorded one assist, five shots and a plus-one rating in Team Orr’s 3-2 victory at the 2016 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.

• In 2013-14, Kopacka averaged more than a point per game (7-17—24 in 22 GP) with the Compuware under-16 team in Plymouth, Mich., before being selected by the Greyhounds in the eighth round (157th overall) of the 2014 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

• His brother, Jonathan Kopacka, has played the past two seasons with Air Force Academy in the NCAA (Division I).
