• Johansen’s breakout 2015-16 season saw the defenseman register 10-39—49 through 69 regular-season contests with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, pacing team blueliners in goals, assists and points. He added 2-6—8 in 18 postseason games to help the Rockets reach the Western Conference Championship Series.
• During the 2014-15 campaign, Johansen posted 1-7—8 in the regular season (65 GP) and 1-4—5 in the playoffs (19 GP) to help the Rockets capture the 2015 Ed Chynoweth Cup, Kelowna’s fourth WHL championship in franchise history.
• Johansen is developing his game in Kelowna, known as the “Defenseman Factory,” an organization which has graduated a strong class of blueliners to the NHL including

Duncan Keith (CHI),
Tyson Barrie (COL),
Tyler Myers (WPG) and
Luke Schenn (LAK).
