• Dineen earned Ontario Hockey League First All-Rookie Team honors in 2015-16 and was a finalist for both the Rookie of the Year and Defenseman of the Year awards after collecting 13-46—59 in 68 games with the Brampton Battalion. He finished second among all OHL rookies in assists and points, trailing only No. 3-ranked North American skater Alexander Nylander (28-47—75).

• The first-year defenseman also placed second in assists and points among OHL blueliners, behind Calgary Flames prospect Rasmus Andersson (selected 53rd overall in 2015).

• Dineen spent the 2014-15 season with the New Jersey Rockets of the Eastern Hockey League, leading all defensemen in points with 11-30—41 (39 GP). He earned EHL Rookie of the Year honors and also was named to an EHL First Team All-Star.

• Internationally, the New Jersey native represented the United States at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial recording two assists in four games.
