• Yogan had 25 goals and 55 points in 63 games this season before a broken foot, suffered blocking a shot, ended his season in early March.

• Selected by the Windsor Spitfires in 2007, he played his rookie season with Windsor before heading to Erie in a trade.

• A Boca Raton native, Yogan was originally interested in karate, but got his start in hockey at the age of seven when a friend asked him to come out and skate. He played his minor hockey for the Florida Junior Panthers and his first team was the Coral Springs Coyotes. He also played a year of minor hockey for former Detroit Red Wings defenseman, Uwe Krupp, who influenced his career and helped him make it to the OHL.

• His father, Mark, is a pilot and they travelled thousands of miles in minor hockey playing in several tournaments around North America – one of his favourite memories was winning the MVP award at the Boston Junior Chowder Cup.
