• Pettersson was an assistant captain with Skelleftea’s junior team in 2013-14, playing an all-around game on the blueline while registering 18 points (4-14—18) in 38 games. He also made his professional hockey debut, playing 10 games with Skelleftea’s senior team in the Swedish Hockey League.
• Pettersson was a member of Sweden’s gold-medal winning team at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and skated on Sweden’s fourth-place team at the 2014 Under-18 World Championship where he notched his only goal of the tournament in the team’s quarterfinal win over Finland.
• He models his game after Jonas Brodin of the Minnesota Wild: “He’s so smart and can handle almost every situation on the ice.”
• His father, Daniel, also played with Skelleftea from 1987-99.
