• Aho spent the 2014-15 season with Skelleftea in the Swedish Hockey League, where he registered 1-89 in 41 regular season games and added 1-34 in 13 playoff contests to help the team earn the league's silver medal.

• Aho split the 2013-14 season between Skelleftea’s junior team, where he notched 23 points (7-16—23) in 27 games and the club’s senior team in the Swedish Hockey League (1-4—5 in 21 games).

• He registered four assists in six games as an assistant captain with Sweden’s gold-medal winning team at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, and again wore a letter with Sweden at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial. He also represented Sweden at the 2013 and 2014 Under-18 World Championships, totaling two goals and 12 penalty minutes in nine games combined. Aho also skated for his country at the 2015 World Junior Championship.

• His older brother, Samuel, also plays professional hockey in Europe most recently with Vannas in Division 1 of the Swedish Hockey League.

• Aho is an admirer of Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty and models his game after Doughty’s two-way style.
