• Walman has committed to Providence College for the fall of 2014.

• In 2013-14, Walman’s first season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League, he finished second among Toronto Jr. Canadiens blueliners with 33 points (7-26—33) in 43 games. Following his impressive rookie campaign, Walman was named the OJHL Rookie of the Year and was a co-recipient of the Canadian Junior Hockey League National Rookie of the Year Award.

• Ranked No. 47 among North American skaters, Walman is the highest-ranked OJHL and CJHL player for the upcoming NHL Draft, a distinction that has earned him the OJHL and CJHL Top Prospect Awards as well as the Ontario Hockey Association’s BJ Monro Award. He was also selected as an OJHL First-Team All-Prospect.

• He represented Team Canada East at the 2014 World Junior A Challenge, totaling two assists in four games. Walman then played for the OJHL’s South-East Conference All-Star Team that finished second at the 2013 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge.

• A graduate of the Greater Toronto Hockey League, Walman converted to defense in his Midget AAA season with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. Prior to that he was a forward with the North York Rangers Minor Midget AAA team and Toronto Red Wings Bantam AAA club, where he was coached by NHL alumnus Claude Lemieux and played with Claude’s son Brendan (No. 28-ranked North American skater).
