On his style of play: I like to play with high intensity, I think. Definitely, whatever I do, I like to do with high intensity. I lean more toward the offensive side of the game. But I worked on my defense a lot this year. I just try to create offense whatever way I can, and that's what I bring to the team.
On patterning his game: I try to play like Brett Hull. I try to shoot whenever I can. He has tons of goals and I like to score goals. He shot every time he got the opportunity, so I like to model my game after him.
On getting his start in hockey: My family is big in hockey. My brother plays, my cousins all play. I started when I was three years old back in Auburn. It just kind of built up to there, and that's how I got going.
On following his older brother Chad: He definitely showed me a lot of things. He obviously played (at the NTDP) so I knew what I was coming into. We have a lake out in my backyard, so we used to play out there when we were younger and it was a lot of fun.
On his childhood hockey heroes: When I was a younger, I was a huge Dallas Stars fan. I was pretty much a Brett Hull and Mike Modano fan. I love them.
On the possibility of being drafted: It's very exciting. Something I've been working on for a while now. It's everybody's dream growing up to get drafted into the NHL. To do that is a huge honor. Definitely looking forward to it. Not trying to focus on it too much. But it's definitely something in the back of your mind.
