• Holland’s successful second season with Guelph saw him finish second on the Storm with 67 points (28-39-67) in 68 games. He also led the team with four goals in four games, against Saginaw in the 2009 playoffs.

• There was no shortage of hockey for Holland in 2008-09 as he represented the OHL in the 2008 Canada/Russia Challenge, was selected to the 2009 OHL All-Star Classic and participated in the 2009 CHL Top Prospects Game.

• In international play, he was selected to play for Team Canada at the 2009 Under-18 World Championships, contributing five points (1-4-5) and a plus-five rating in Canada’s fourth place finish. He was also a member of the gold-medal winning Team Ontario at the 2008 World Under-17 Challenge.

• Prior to playing in the Ontario Hockey League, Holland played minor hockey for Brampton Youth Hockey Association, captaining his team to a Quebec Peewee International tournament championship at 13.

• First on skates at the age of two and playing on his first team in Nobleton, Ontario at four, he credits his dad for having the most influence on his career for starting him in the sport and teaching him to have fun.

• His childhood hockey idols were Mats Sundin and Joe Sakic – “I’ve always been a Leafs fan and I love the way Sakic plays”.
