On his style of play: I'm kind of a fast hockey player. I like to use my speed and my shot. I like to consider myself somewhat of a small, power forward, and I like to do a bit of everything.

On patterning his game after an NHLer: I think Jarome Iginla is someone that I try to watch a lot and learn from. He's a great leader, but he's also a good goal scorer and a very good hockey player.

On following in his older brothers footsteps: I think it was something both my brothers did so I just kind of followed them and Paul ended up playing in the OHL and that's where I am today so I kind of just followed in his footsteps so far.

On getting his start in hockey: I think my mom said I was about two, I don't remember that but I remember playing my first game when I was five years old. It was kind of interesting, I probably wasn't the best skater back then it, but I remember it being hockey always being the favorite thing to do. It was something we did every day as family, whether it was road hockey or on the ice.

On playing road hockey with his brothers: I was always the goalie when I was younger. They tended to shoot a lot of pucks at me, but that was something I took until I was about eight years old and then it was kind of time to I think I didn't want to play net any more so it was their turn.

On playing for the Toronto Junior Canadiens: Yeah, that was an incredible team. It was a lot of fun playing for them. I miss those days sometimes, but (I played) in the Top Prospects game with Tyler Toffoli and against Smith Pelly who were both on that team and we were a team that didn't lose much. We won basically everything and it was a lot of fun. I owe a lot to a lot of those guys with a lot of my success so far.

On the goals he used to score with the Junior Canadiens: There were some nice ones, obviously, but I owe a lot to my linemates I used to play with -- Cody McNaughton or Tyler Toffoli or Chase Balisy. They were incredible in finding me. I was in some good spots at some good times. I got lucky at the same time. We were a great team and we scored a lot of goals. It was a lot of fun scoring that much. I miss it a little bit, but I try to do as much as I can now, too. I think in Bantam it was 165 and minor midget, I had 100.

On his most memorable hockey moment: I think it was last year in the OHL playoffs -- I scored against Belleville, the game winner in my first playoff game. It was a big moment for me. I felt really good about it.

On his personality off the ice: I'm kind of pretty laid back. I just like to have a little fun. I'm not the most serious guy before a game. Once I step on the ice, I think there's that switch, but I like to have a lot of fun, joke around with the guys, and just a pretty friendly person I would say.
