Carter Hart of Everett of the Western Hockey League, a top prospect for the 2016 NHL Draft, was named Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week on Tuesday.
The 6-foot, 177-pound goaltender received a B rating from NHL Central Scouting on its November players to watch list.
In three games last week Hart went 3-0-0 with two shutouts, a 0.33 goals-against average and a .985 save percentage.
Hart had a 26-save shutout Nov. 25 in a 5-0 win against Tri-City, and two days later made 14 saves in a 5-0 shutout of Moose Jaw. His shutout streak was snapped at 130:59 when he gave up a goal in the first period against Spokane on Nov. 30, but he made 25 saves in a 5-1 win.
In 22 games, Hart leads the WHL in GAA (1.61), save percentage (.939) and shutouts (six), and he's tied for first with 14 wins.
