Coyotes captain Doan out with lower-body injury

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan will not be in the lineup Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks because of a lower-body injury. He is day-to-day, the Coyotes said.

Dustin Jeffrey, who was recalled from Springfield of the American Hockey League on Tuesday, will take Doan's place in the lineup.

Doan, 39, who has 10 points in 20 games, is five goals behind Dale Hawerchuk for the Coyotes/Winnipeg Jets record (379).
