Blackhawks' Carcillo shares Stanley Cup for charity

Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Daniel Carcillo hosted a party with the Stanley Cup on Sunday at Chicago's Dana Hotel to help raise money for charity.

Fans who purchased tickets met Carcillo and took a picture with the Cup. The event also included a cocktail party and a silent auction of sports memorabilia.

Carcillo appeared in 39 games with the Blackhawks last season because of a concussion. He is contemplating retirement after playing in 429 NHL games with the Phoenix Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers, Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers.

"If I told you that I've already made a decision 100 percent to not play I'd be lying," Carcillo told the Chicago Tribune on Aug. 20. "But every year, especially the last couple, I've definitely thought about it. And then when you have a son it kind of changes things because being away that long with that travel schedule is just not conducive to being the father I want to be. I want to be here and I want to see things."
