Canadiens' Parenteau practices, unsure for Game 3

BROSSARD, Quebec -- Montreal Canadiens forward Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau took part in an optional skate Saturday but remains questionable to play in Game 3 of their Eastern Conference First Round series at the Ottawa Senators on Sunday (7 p.m. ET; CBC, NBCSN, TVA Sports), coach Michel Therrien said.

Parenteau did not play in Montreal's 3-2 overtime win in Game 2 on Friday because of an upper body injury, and his status has not changed in spite of his presence on the ice Saturday.

"He's day-to-day," Therrien said.

Parenteau had eight goals and 14 assists in 56 games this season. He missed 22 regular-season games because of a concussion and was a healthy scratch in four others.

He played 12:13 in Game 1 before being ruled out for Game 2 because of the injury.

Left wing Max Pacioretty also took the part in the optional skate after returning in Game 2 from an upper-body injury that kept him out of the final two regular-season games and the first game of the series.

"I feel really good today," he said.
