NHL Live welcomes top prospect McDavid

NHL Live with Steve Mears and E.J. Hradek is on the air at 5 p.m. ET on NHL Network.

Erie Otters center Connor McDavid, one of the top prospects for the 2015 NHL Draft, will call into the show at 5:35 p.m. McDavid was named to the Ontario Hockey League team for the 2014 Subway Super Series and leads the OHL with 25 points in nine games.

Philadelphia Flyers play-by-play announcer Jim Jackson will join us via Arena Cam at 6:40 p.m. to preview the Flyers' game against the Chicago Blackhawks (8:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN). Ken Kal, the radio voice of the Detroit Red Wings, will check in from Bell Centre at 6 p.m. to discuss the Red Wings' game against the Montreal Canadiens.

NHL.com senior writer Dan Rosen will also break down the latest news and notes from around the League at 5:30 p.m.
