'Rocky' trip as top prospects trolley through Philly

PHILADELPHIA -- The top prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft got their first taste of Philadelphia on Wednesday, taking a trolley tour of the city.

The first stop for Kingston Frontenacs center Samuel Bennett, Barrie Colts defenseman Aaron Ekblad, Kootenay Ice center Sam Reinhart, Prince Albert Raiders center Leon Draisaitl and Oshawa Generals left wing Michael Dal Colle was the famed steps in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Bennett was one of the few players to have seen the Rocky movies and squad images of the famous scene in "Rocky II" when Rocky runs up the steps.

"It's been a long time since I've seen the movies," Bennett told NHL.com. "It's pretty cool to be here where Rocky was."

They took pictures in front of the museum and by the Rocky statue, and even made a repeat run up the steps.

"Everyone says this is the most important thing to see in Philadelphia," Reinhart said.

Sarnia Sting defenseman Anthony DeAngelo served as the de facto tour guide. Growing up in nearby Sewell, N.J., DeAngelo had a bit of familiarity with the area and was happy to show it off to a few new visitors.

"It's awesome," DeAngelo said. "I still live just outside the city in the summer, my grandparents still live across the street from where the Flyers play."
