Los Angeles Kings assistant general manager Rob Blake joined NHL Live to discuss the Stanley Cup Final between the Western Conference champion Kings and the Eastern Conference champion New York Rangers.

The Kings advanced by defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-3 in a classic best-of-7 series. With their 5-4 overtime victory in Game 7, the Kings became the first team in NHL history to win three Game 7s en route to reaching the Stanley Cup Final.

"It's pretty neat to see, to sit and be able to watch it first hand and to see what these guys had to go through," Blake said. "Obviously [winning] three Game 7s in a row, three of them on the road, but you start Game 7 [of the Western Conference Final], you're down 2-0 in the first 10 minutes to the Blackhawks. You finally tie it up and then there's a bad bounce that goes 12 seconds later and you're down 3-2. It's a pretty resilient group I think [general manager] Dean [Lombardi] has put together here and you're starting to see it through these playoffs."
