New Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning was a guest of NHL Live to discuss the Canucks' outlook heading into the offseason.

Speaking from the NHL Scouting Combine in Toronto, Benning is focused on interviewing prospects for the 2014 NHL Draft and searching for a new coach.

"We've talked about it," Benning said. "This week we're going to be here at the Combine all week interviewing about 20 kids every day through Friday, and we go back to Vancouver on Saturday. And then we'll probably over the course of the next few days finalize our list of candidates to interview and probably start the interview process when we get back starting next week."
