Davidson talks chairman selection on NHL Live

Columbus Blue Jackets president of hockey operations John Davidson, who was named Wednesday as the new Chairman of the Selection Committee by the Hockey Hall of Fame, was a guest of NHL Live to discuss the honor and his continued involvement in hockey.

"For me, being on a selection committee for many years, having a chance to stay involved, I find that very exciting," Davidson said. "I'd like to say that taking the position, you have a good, strong feeling that you're going to be part of something that's very important to the world of hockey. And it's not just the National Hockey League, it's the world of hockey.

"I'm excited about it. I think it's an important part of the culture of hockey as the Hall of Fame in Toronto. Again, to be a part of it is pretty exciting."
