NEWARK, N.J. -- Philadelphia Flyers forward Steve Downie is out indefinitely with a concussion, and forward Vincent Lecavalier is day-to-day with facial injuries sustained during a 7-0 loss to the Washington Capitals on Friday.
"Steve is doing better, he remains in the hospital and will be released [Sunday]," Holmgren told the Flyers website.
Lecavalier sustained a facial contusion during a fight in the third period with Steve Olesky.
Lecavalier leads the Flyers in goals (five) and points (seven) in nine games. He missed three games from Oct. 12-17 with a lower-body injury.
Earlier Saturday, the Flyers announced they recalled right wing Tye McGinn from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms. McGinn will be in the lineup Saturday.
