NHL Green is proud to announce that Stanley Cup Champion and environmentalist Mike Richter will take over the @NHL Twitter account on Wednesday, August 28th at 11:00am ET.

Richter will answer your questions and discuss how the League and its Clubs are raising awareness of environmental issues. Use the hashtag #AskRichter to Tweet your questions and follow the conversation. #AskRichter marks the first ever NHL Green Twitter Takeover.

Richter enjoyed a successful 15 year professional career for the New York Rangers where he won the Stanley Cup in 1994, and was selected three times as an NHL All-Star. He represented the United States on numerous international competitions including three Olympic teams, earning Silver in 2002. After retiring from the NHL, Richter enrolled in Yale University and received his degree in Ethics, Politics, and Economics with a concentration in Environmental Policy.

Mike’s current venture, Healthy Planet Partners, finances and manages the deployment of renewable energy technologies and energy saving retrofits for sports facilities- ranging in size from professional stadiums to high school and municipal athletic complexes. Healthy Planet Partners works to reduce operating costs and ecological footprints of venues.

We are very excited to follow along Richter’s @NHL Twitter Takeover (#AskRichter) on Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00am ET.
