Toews takes Stanley Cup wakeboarding

Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews spent his first day with the Stanley Cup at home in Winnipeg visiting a children's hospital, a community center, a Canadian Tire store, posing for pictures, signing autographs, enjoying a dinner with his family, and hosting a party for 300 friends.

Then he decided to have a little fun.

The man nicknamed "Captain Serious" took the trophy wakebaording in Kenora, Ontario, near the Manitoba border east of Winnipeg. The city is the connection to the Lake of the Woods.

A photo of the Cup in the boat with Toews trailing was posted Saturday to the Twitter feed @keeperofthecup.

"It was a crazy two days. I don't think I had a spare minute to breathe," Toews said, according to The Associated Press.
