Bernier was the first goalie off the ice at the Kings' optional skate Tuesday morning. He is 4-0-0 at Staples Center this season.
Quick started back-to-back home-and-road games earlier this month. The Kings really need Quick to regain his form, but Sutter has cited the busy schedule as a need for more of a rotation in goal.
The lineup should remain the same, with rookie Tyler Toffoli at second-line right wing with Jeff Carter and Mike Richards. Jordan Nolan stayed on with the extras and appears to be a healthy scratch again.
Sutter talked about a handful of his players needing to get better individually, and Nolan is a recipient of his tough love.
"There's a point where patience for me becomes no more patience," Sutter said. "For example, somebody asked me about Jordan Nolan. Jordan Nolan hasn't had a very good year, quite honest. He's been fortunate to stay in the lineup, and he'll be fortunate to get back in."
On the other hand, it's been a charmed call-up so far for Toffoli, 20, who scored his first NHL goal Monday. He's roommates with fellow rookie Jake Muzzin. So who does the cooking?
"Subway does the cooking," Muzzin joked.
Here is how the Kings likely will look when they face the Coyotes:
