• As a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2010-11, he was one of the youngest players in the NCAA.

• Koudys competed for Burlington in the Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey League in 2009-10 where he was named the OHA’s Top Prospect, Burlington’s Rookie of the Year and Top Defenseman.

• His father, Jim, played for the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League and was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 12th round, 252nd overall in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft.
