• Kovacs skated for AIK in Sweden’s second division during the 2014-15 season, leading the team in goals (17), points (28) and penalty minutes (63). His 17 goals and 28 points were more than any other junior-aged player in the second division that season.
• Internationally, Kovacs has represented Sweden at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial and was a member of the country’s gold medal-winning entry at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
