  • Won gold with Team Canada at the Under-18 IIHF World Championships, posting two points (1-1--2) and a plus-seven rating in seven games.
  • Led Val-D’or rookie defensemen in scoring in 2007-08 and was named the QMJHL Prospect of the Month in December 2007.
  • His uncle, Sergio Momesso, was drafted 27th overall by Montreal in 1983 and played in the NHL from 1985-1997. His brother, Guilio, plays on the Italian National team and plays pro hockey in Milano, Italy.
  • Got his start in hockey at the age of four playing for the NDG Panthers and also played his minor hockey with the Montreal Maroons, the Montreal Hurricanes and the Predateurs de Montreal.
  • Credits his brother for having had the most influence because he always looked up to him.
  • Patterns his game after Detroit’s Nicklas Lidstrom and wears number six because he was drafted into the QMJHL in the sixth round.
