• In 16 playoff games with Rimouski in 2009, Caron finished second on the team in goals (6) and fourth in points (11). Despite the semi-final loss to Drummondville, Rimouski’s season wasn’t over as they hosted the 2009 Memorial Cup.

• His 36 goals this season ranked first on his team and tied him for 11th overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

• Caron represented the QMJHL at the 2008 Canada/Russia Challenge and was selected to participate in the 2009 CHL Top Prospects game.

• He began skating at the age of three in his hometown of Sayabec, Quebec.

• His childhood hockey idol was Maurice Richard – “because before I went to bed my mom used to read me a book about him” and if he could invite any three people to dinner he would choose: musicians Keith Urban and Paul McCartney as well as his favorite player Vincent Lecavalier.
