• Nicknamed “Deuce” for his dual Canadian and American citizenship, he finished the season in the USHL with Fargo and will attend St. Cloud State University in 2009.

• Oliver started hockey at the age of three playing on his first hockey team the Crookston Peanuts. He played his minor hockey in Crookston until peewee and then played for Roseau.

• He was coached in minor hockey by Roseau natives and former NHL forwards Aaron Broten and Bryan Erickson.
