• Howse led the Chilliwack Bruins in scoring during the 2008-09 regular season scoring 31 goals (31-13-44) in 61 games. He is the only Bruins player besides Los Angeles Kings’ forward Oscar Moller to score 30 goals in a season for Chilliwack. He won the team’s most valuable player, leading scorer and fan favorite awards this year.

• During his first full season in Chilliwack, Howse played with Oscar Moller (Los Angeles) and Mark Santorelli (Nashville), who were both two of the WHL’s top offensive producers in 2007-08.

• A Prince George, British Columbia native, and former Cariboo Cougars midget player, Howse was drafted third overall by the Bruins in 2006, the first-ever choice by the expansion franchise.
