• Is the nephew of Bill Ranford – he was drafted 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in 1985 and went on to play 647 NHL games for the Edmonton Oilers, Bruins, Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit Red Wings (1987-2000), winning two Stanley Cups.
